Call Sign: WA28 File No.: SES—STA—20160415—00350 Comsat, Inc. is granted special temporary authority (STA) for 60 days beginning on April 27, 2016 to operate Antenna IDs 21CNORM, 21CTTC and 21LBAND at its fixed earth station in Southbury, CT with the Inmarsat—3 F5 satellite at the 54 W.L. in the 5925—6425 MHz, 6424— 6456.6 MHz and 1626—1660.5 MHz, (Earth—to—space) and 3700—4200 MHz (space—to—Earth) and 1525—1559 MHz frequency bands under the following conditions. 1) All antennas must operate with authorized emission limits in IBFS File No. SES—MFS— 20140804—00632. 2) QOperations shall not cause harmful interference to, and shall not claim protection from, interference caused to it by any other lawfully operating station and it shall cease transmission(s) immediately upon notice of such interference. 3) Grant of this STA is without prejudice to any determination that the Commission may make regarding other pending or future applications. 4) Any action taken or expense incurred as a result of operations pursuant to this STA is solely at the applicant‘s risk. Comsat, Inc. Request for Renewal of Special Temporary Authority to Use the Inmarsat —3 FS Satellite at 54° W.L as a Point of Communication for Antenna IDs 21CNORM & 21CTTC/HUB Southbury, CT Teleport Call Sign WA28 FILE NOs. SES—MFS—20160222—00152 and SES—STA—20160223—00164 Comsat, Inc. ("Comsat", formerly known as Airbus DS SatCom Government, Inc.) hereby requests renewal of the grant of Special Temporary Authority ("STA") for 60 days | beginning on April 26, 2016 to allow continued use of the Inmarsat—3 F5 satellite (the "F5" satellite) at the 54° W.L. orbital location as a point of communication for the WA28 Antenna IDs 21CNORM and 21CTTC/HUB earth stations‘. Grant of this STA is in the public interest because it will assure continuity of service for Comsat‘s customers who receive Inmarsat services via the Southbury Teleport while the Commission completes processing of Comsat‘s application for permanent grant of the requested point of communications authority.
