Applicant: Intelsat License LLC Call Sign: E030096 File No.: SES—STA—20151210—00931 Special Temporary Authority (STA) Intelsat License LLC, is granted an extension of special temporary authority for 30 days beginning December 21, 2015, to use its Castle Rock, CO, Ku—band fixed earth station, EQ30096, with the Galaxy 11 satellite (call sign $2253) to provide telemetry, tracking, and command services during its drifts from 55.6° W. L. orbital location to 60.1° E.L. Orbital location. Operations are authorized under the following conditions: 1. Operations are restricted to center frequencies 14.0005 GHz, and 14.4985 GHz (Earth—to—space) and 11.701 GHz and 11.702 GHz (space—to—Earth) frequencies. 2. All operations under this grant of STA shall be on an unprotected and non— harmful interference basis. 3. All operators of satellites in that path will be provided with an emergency phone number where the licensee can be reached in the event that harmful interference occurs. Currently the 24x7 contact information for the Galaxy 11 satellite is as follows: Ph.: (703) 559—7701 —East Coast Operations Center (primary); (310) 525—5591— West Coast Operations Center (back—up). In the event of any harmful interference during Intelsat License LLC shall cease operations immediately upon notification of such interference, and shall immediately inform the Commission, in writing, of such an event. 5. Grant of this STA is without prejudice to any determination that the Commission may make regarding pending or future Intelsat License LLC applications. 6. Any action taken or expense incurred as a result of operations pursuant to this STA is solely at Intelsat License LLC‘s risk. Washington, D.C. 20554 Re: Request for Extension of Special Temporary Authority Castle Rock, Colorado Earth Station E030096 Dear Ms. Dortch: Intelsat License LLC ("Intelsat") herein requests an additional 30 days—December 16, 2015 through January 14, 2016—of the Special Temporary Authority ("STA")‘ previously granted Intelsat to use its Castle Rock, Colorado Ku—band earth station—call sign EQ30096—to provide telemetry, tracking, and command ("TT&C") services for Galaxy 11 ($2253) during its drift from 55.6° W.L. to 60.1° EL Galaxy 11 began drifting on December 2, 2015. The drift is expected to take approximately six months. TT&C operations will continue to be performed in the following frequencies: 14000.5 MHz, 14498.5 MHz, 11701 MHz, and 11702 MHz. The drift operations will be coordinated with all operators of satellites that use the same frequency bands and are in the drift path.* All operators of satellites in that path will be provided with an emergency phone number where the licensee can be reached in the event that harmful interference occurs.
