Application: Intelsat License LLC Call Sign: E040125 File No.: SES—STA—20151119—00853 Special Temporary Authority (STA) Intelsat License LLC is granted a STA, under the following conditions, for 30 days, beginning December 1, 2015, to operate its C—band earth station, call sign EO40125, in Riverside, California, to conduct telemetry, tracking, and command ("TT&C") services for Intelsat 805 satellite ($2404) to drift the space station from the 55.5° W.L. orbital location to the 169° E.L. Intelsat 805 ($2404) is expected to begin drifting on December 1, 2015. 1. Intelsat will perform the operations in the uplink frequencies (Earth—to—space): 6173.70 MHz and 6176.30 MHz and the downlink frequencies (space—to—Earth): 3947.50 MHz, 3948.00 MHz, 3952.00 MHz and 3952.50 MHz, within coordinated emission and power limits. 2. During the drift from 55.5 W.L. to the satellite‘s permanentorbitallocation 169° E.L., Intelsat will coordinate with operators of co—frequency satellites in the drift path. 3. All operators ofsatellites will be provided with an emergency phone number where the licensee can be reached in the event that harmfulinterference occurs, Currently the 24x7 contact information for the Intelsat 805 mission is as follows: Ph.: (703) 559—7701 — East Coast Operations Center (primary); (310) 525—5591 — West Coast Operations Center (back—up). Request to speak with Harry Burnham or Kevin Bell. 4. All operations under this grant of STA shall be on an unprotected and non—harmful interference basis. Intelsat‘s E040125 shall not cause harmful interference to, and shall not claim protection from interference caused to it by, any other lawfully operating radio communication system. 5. In the event ofany harmful interference under this grant of STA, Intelsat License LLC E040125 must cease operations immediately upon notification of such interference, and must inform the Commission, in writing, immediately of such an event. 6. Grant ofthis authorization is without prejudice to any determination that the Commission may make regarding pending or future Intelsat License LLC applications. 7. Washington, D.C. 20554 Re: Request for Special Temporary Authority Riverside, California Earth Station E040125 Dear Ms. Dortch: Intelsat License LLC ("Intelsat") herein requests a grant of Special Temporary Authority ("STA")‘ for 30 days, commencing December 1, 2015, to use its Riverside, California C—band earth station—call sign EQ040125—to provide telemetry, tracking, and command ("TT&C") services for Intelsat 805 ($2404) during its drift from 55.5° W.L. to 169.0° E.L. Intelsat 805 is expected to begin drifting no earlier than December 1, 2015. The drift is expected to take approximately three months. TT&C operations will be performed in the following frequencies: 3947.5 MHz, 3948.0 MHz, 3952.0 MHz, 3952.5 MHz, 6173.7 MHz, and 6176.3 MHz. The drift operations will be coordinated with all operators of satellites that use the same frequency bands and are in the drift path." All operators of satellites in that path will be provided with an emergency phone number where the licensee can be reached in the event that harmful interference occurs. In further support of this request, Intelsat hereby attaches Exhibit A, which contains technical information that demonstrates that the operation of the earth station will be compatible with its electromagnetic environment and will not cause harmful interference into any lawfully operating terrestrial facility.
