Washington, D.C. 20554 Re: Request for Further Extension of Special Temporary Authority Riverside, California Earth Station E040125 Dear Ms. Dortch: Intelsat License LLC (“Intelsat”) herein requests an additional 30 days—from October 20, 2015 through November 18, 2015—of the Special Temporary Authority (“STA”)1 previously granted Intelsat to use its Riverside, California C-band earth station—call sign E040125—to provide launch and early orbit phase (“LEOP”) services for Intelsat 34,2 telemetry, tracking, and command (“TT&C”) during in-orbit testing (“IOT”) at 51.5° W.L., TT&C during the drift of Intelsat 34, and TT&C at the satellite’s final location at 55.5° W.L.3 Specifically, Intelsat is seeking an extension of STA to continue to conduct TT&C for Intelsat 34 at 55.5° W.L. Intelsat 34 arrived on-station at 55.5° W.L. on October 2, 2015. The Intelsat 34 operations will be performed using the following frequencies: 6173.7 MHz and 6176.3 MHz in the uplink (LHCP), and 3949.0 MHz, 3949.5 MHz, 3950.5 MHz, and 3951 MHz in the downlink (RHCP).
