All operations under this grant of special temporary authority must be on an unprotected and non—harmful interference basis, i.e., DIRECTV must not cause harmful interference to, and shall not claim protection from interference caused to it by, any other lawfully operating station. In the event of any harmful interference under this grant of special temporary authority, DIRECTV must cease operations immediately upon notification of such interference, and must inform the Commission, in writing, immediately of such an event. DIRECTV must coordinate its TT&C operations with all other potentially affected operators and ensure that no harmful interference results. Any action taken or expense incurred as a result of operations pursuant to this special temporary authority is solely at DIRECTV‘s own risk. REQUEST FOR SPECIAL TEMPORARY AUTHORITY Call Signs: E140117 and E150022 DIRECTV Enterprises, LLC ("DIRECTV") hereby requests Special Temporary Authority ("STA") for up to 30 days to conduct Telemetry Tracking and Control (TTAC) for the DIRECTV 15 satellite (call sign 2930) while it is undergoing in—orbit testing (IOT) at the 66.8° W.L. orbital location,‘ and thereafter during migration to its licensed position at 103° W.L. (nominal), from its New Hampton, NH (call sign E140117) and Castle Rock, CO (call sign E150022) earth stations." The specific DIRECTV 15 TTAC frequencies to be used are 29502.5 MHz and 29505.9 MHz for telecommand and 20198.5 MHz and 20199.5 MHz for telemetry. DIRECTV requests that the STA be structured to begin upon arrival of the satellite at 66.8° W.L. DIRECTV will coordinate with potentially affected satellite operators in accordance with industry practice, and will operate on a non—interference basis during this migration. The requested STA will serve the public interest by ensuring that the DIRECTV 15 satellite is properly controlled during IOT and the subsequent migration to its licensed orbital location. Accordingly, DIRECTV respectfully requests that the Commission grant this STA request as expeditiously as possible. ! DIRECTV has requested temporary authority to conduct IOT of the payloads on the satellite at 66.8° W.L. before moving it to its licensed orbital location.
