| 12. Description.
This application seeks extension of Special Temporary Authority (FCC File number SES-STA-20120826-00784, most recently extended by SES-STA-201209270082 until November 1, 2012) to operate a satellite news gathering (SNG), Domestic Satellite Temporary−Fixed (Transportable) Earth Station that is used in conjunction with commercial TV Station WBBH−TV, Fort Myers. The station's engineering consultants are in the process of finalizing the technical information for the application to license the station's new SNG facilities. Grant of the requested STA would serve the public interest by enhancing the station's coverage of weather emergencies and other breaking news for the people of Ft. Myers and the surrounding area.
