SES Americom Inc. E110104 SES—STA—20120608—00501 Special Temporary Authority SES Americom Inc. is granted Special Temporary Authority for 60 days, July 11, 2012 through September 09, 2012 to use its Bristow, VA earth station to communicate with NSS—7 satellite, Call Sign $2854, to proved back up Tracking, Telemetry and Command and carry customer traffic on frequencies 10.95 —11.20 GHz, 11.45—12.20 GHz, and 14.00—14.50 GHz: 1) The use of the band 10.7—11.7 GHz (space—to—Earth) and 12.75—13.25 GHz (Earth—to— space) by the fixed—satellite service in the geostationary satellite orbit shall be limited to international systems, i.e. other than domestic systems. (NG104). 2) SES Americom Inc., E110104, shall not cause harmful interference to, and shall not claim protection from, interference caused to it by any other lawfully operating station and it shall cease transmission(s) immediately upon notice of such interference. 3) Grant of this authorization is without prejudice to any determination that the Commission may make regarding pending SES Americom Inc. applications. 4) Any action taken or expense incurred as a result of operations pursuant to this special temporary authority is solely at SES Americom Inc. risk. 5) Operations must comply with NSS—7, $2854, SAT—RPL—20120216—00018 operating parameters and agreements. 6) Pursuant to Section 1.62 of the Commission‘s rules, continued operation of this station previously granted under SES—STA—20120426—00400 granted from 05/18/2012 to 06/16/2012 continued in effect until grant of this authorization. 7) This action is issued pursuant to Section 0.261 of the Commission‘s rules on delegated authority, 47 C.F.R. § 0.261, and is effective immediately.

SES Americom, Inc. Page 1 of 1 STA REQUEST Earth Station E110104 SES Americom, Inc. (doing business as "SES") hereby requests special temporary authority ("STA") for a period of 60 days, beginning on June 16, 2012, to allow its Bristow, VA earth station (call sign E110104) to continue to communicate with the NSS—7 spacecraft following the recent relocation of the spacecraft from 22° W.L. to 20° W.L. Grant of the requested STA will serve the public interest by enabling SES to use this earth station to provide Tracking, Telemetry and Command ("TT&C") for NSS—7 and carry customer traffic to ensure service continuity for NSS—7 users. SES has requested a modification of the E110104 license to update the authorized points of communications to reflect the NSS—7 relocation.‘ SES seeks STA pending action on that modification. The Commission previously granted STA allowing SES to use E110104 to communicate with the NSS—7 spacecraft during and after its relocation, and the term of the current STA expires on June 16. Accordingly, to ensure continuity of communications, SES requests that the instant STA be granted effective June 16.
