Globecast UK SES—STA—20120515—00442 Special Temporary Authority Globecast UK is granted, under the following conditions, Special Temporary Authority for 30 days, from June 23, 2012 through July 22, 2012 to use its GIGASAT 2.4m transportable earth, in Fort Adams, RI emitting a signal within the 1 8MOD7W emission designator in the 5925—6425 MHz band at an EIRP not to exceed 34.20 dBW/4kHz to any U.S. authorized space station listed on the "Permitted List" at http://www.fee.gov/ib/sd/se/permitted.html it has received permission from the space station operator to access that space station . 1) Globecast UK, shall not cause harmful interference to, and shall not claim protection from, interference caused to it by any other lawfully operating station and it shall cease transmission(s) immediately upon notice of such interference. 2) Any action taken or expense incurred as a result of operations pursuant to this special temporary authority is solely at Globecast UK risk. 3) Globecast UK shall take all reasonable and customary measures to ensure that the mobile earth station does not create a potential for harmful non—ionizing radiation to persons who may be in the vicinity of the earth station when it is in operation. 12. Description This application is for a temporary permit to transmit one 18MHz C—Band carrier from a Gigasat FA— 240 2.4m transportable earth station, owned and operated by GlobeCast UK. The antenna is licensed and registered for use on Intelsat, Eutelsat and Asiasat satellites and will be located in Newport, RI for the America‘s Cup World Series, the event is due to take place from June 26th to July ist. The system will be feeding live coverage of the sailing event back to the UK where it will be distributed over Globecast‘s international platform. The America‘s Cup is the oldest and most prestigious sailing event in the world, Newport is the third event of 2012 and promises to showcase the USA as one of the world leaders in international sailing.
