STA Request Globecomm Systems Inc. requests Special Temporary Authority (“STA”) to operate an X‐band earth station at its Hauppauge, New York, teleport. The request is pursuant to a military contract which is less than 6 months in duration from October 15, 2011 to April 11, 2012. The contract is for the Diplomatic Telecommunication Service Program Office (DTS‐PO), Contract No. B11‐2011125G001‐003. The government project is for the transmission of secure data via Aeronautical SatCom on the Move. The purpose of the government project and the STA is for purposes of national security and so is in the public interest. In support of this request, the applicant provides information regarding the proposed operations: Antenna: Roof mounted ASC Signal 3.7m X‐band antenna, Model No. ES37MPJK‐1 Frequency Range: Rx: 7.250‐7.750 GHz; Tx: 7.900‐8.400 GHz Satellite: XTAR‐ LANT, X‐Band, 30 W Also attached to this STA request are further documents relating to the antenna and the transmission plan. {00327977‐1 }
