Intelsat License LLC, ("Intelsat") is granted special temporary authority (STA) to
operate for 30 days, from September 12, 2001 through September 23, 2011, at its
Mountainside teleport in Hagerstown, Maryland a 1.2 m antenna in the frequencies 14000—
14500 MHz (uplink) and 11700—12200 MHz with its Galaxy 25 satellite at 93.0° W.L. and
with its Horizons 2 satellite at 74.0° W.L. to test the antenna to verify that it can be used for
certain services offered by Intelsat. This authorization is granted subject to the following
conditions:

          (a) Operations must comply with input power limitations defined in 47 C.F.R
25.134.
        (b) No harmful interference can be caused to any lawfully operating satellite
network or radio communication system and Intelsat operations must cease immediately
upon notification of harmful interference. Further, Intelsat shall notify the Commission in
writing that it has received such a notification within 14 days of receipt.
        (c) Intelsat must accept interference from any lawfully operating satellite network or
radio communication system.

Operation of this station from August 25, 2011 to September 12, 2011 was pursuant

Re: Request for Extension of Special Temporary Authority
Hagerstown, Maryland Ku—band Earth Station Testing

           Dear Ms. Dortch:

Intelsat License LLC ("Intelsat") herein requests an additional 30 days—from
August 25, 2011 through September 23, 2011—of the Special Temporary
Authority ("STA")‘ previously granted Intelsat to test a 1.2 meter Ku—band
antenna located at Intelsat‘s Mountainside teleport in Hagerstown, Maryland."
Specifically, Intelsat intends to continue communicating with its Galaxy 25
satellite at 93.0° W.L. and with its Horizons 2 satellite at 74.0° W.L. in the
frequencies 14000—14500 MHz (uplink) and 11700—1 2200 MHz (downlink).

Intelsat needs to perform additional testing of this antenna to verify that it can
be used for certain services offered by Intelsat. Because the proposed testing
will assist Intelsat in meeting customer demand for service, grant of this STA
extension request is in the public interest. The further testing is expected to be
           completed within one month.

In support of this request, Intelsat incorporates by reference the exhibits
submitted with its original STA request, which contain information showing
that the operation of the earth station will be compatible with its
electromagnetic environment and will not cause harmful interference into any
lawfully operating facility." In the extremely unlikely event that harmful
interference should occur, Intelsat will take all reasonable steps to eliminate
           the interference.

‘ Intelsat has filed this STA request, an FCC Form 159 and a $180.00 filing fee
electronically via the International Bureau‘s Filing System.
