Special Temporary Authority £920698 SES—STA—20101006—01260 SES Americom, Inc. ("SES WORLD SKIES") is granted special temporary authority (STA) to operate its E920698 Ku—band fixed earth station to provide TT&C communications to position SES—3 satellite at 77.25° W.L; to provide TT&C and during In Orbit Testing (IO0T) while SES—3 is located at 77.25° W.L.; and to provide TT&C to SES—3 as it is drifted away from 77.25° W.L. Authority is granted to SES WORLD SKIES, with conditions, to transmit beginning 12 days following the launch of SES—3, which is currently scheduled for February 2011, for 30—days subject to the following conditions: (a) TT&C operations must comply with the Commission‘s rules Section 25.202(g), 47 C.F.R. § 25.202(g). (b) TT&C functions must comply with the power limitations specified under the station‘s current authorization for SES—RWL—20040524—00711. (c) SES WORLD SKIES must coordinate its drift and test operations with all potentially affected operating satellite networks. (d) No harmful interference can be caused to any lawfully operating satellite network or radio communication system and SES WORLD SKIES‘ operations must cease immediately upon notification of harmful interference. Further, SES WORLD SKIES shall notify the Commission in writing that it has received such a notification within 14 days of receipt. (f) SES WORLD SKIES must accept interference from any lawfully operating satellite network or radio communication system. (g) Testing authority is limited to the frequencies under the station‘s current authorization SES—RWL—20040524—0071 1 at the 77.25° W.L. orbital location. (h) Communications with the SES—3 space station at 77.25° W.L. are limited to TT&C and shall not include any provision of commercial services. (i) The authorization is subject to change in any of its terms or cancellation in its entirety at any time upon reasonable notice, but without hearing, if in the opinion of the Commission, circumstances require.
