Re: Request for Further Extension of STA to Operate a New 9.2m Ka—band
                       Antenna at Intelsat‘s Riverside Teleport

              Dear Ms. Dortch:

Intelsat North America LLC ("Intelsat") herein requests an additional seven—
day extensmn —— through July 28, 2010 —— of the Special Temporary Authority
("STA") previously granted Intelsat to test anew 9.2m Ka—band antenna
located at its existing Riverside, CA teleport."

As noted in pfevious extension requests, late delivery of critical antenna sub—
            — components delayed final performance tests of this antenna. Customer
demonstrations currently are scheduled for July 20—21. So as to ensure it has
the ability to address issues that may come up during those demonstrations,
however, Intelsat is herein seeking a seven—day further extension of its STA.
Intelsat does not expect to seek further extension beyond the July 28, 2010 date
              sought herein.

As originally requested, Intelsat will transmit in the 29500—3 OOOO MHz bands
and receive in the 19700—20200 MHz bands. Also as originally requested, the
antenna will communicate with Galaxy 28 at 89° W.L. during tests for
Intelsat‘s customer. Galaxy 28 will be utilized for antenna gain patterns

‘ Intelsat has filed its STA request, an FCC Form 159, a $175.00 filing fee and
this supporting letter electronically via the International Bureau‘s Filing
             System ("IBFS").

verification — transmit and receive in both azimuth and elevation in both
polarizations(linear and circular) —— and for cross—polarization patterns
verification.

In support of this further extension request, Intelsat incorporates by reference
the materials submitted with its original STA request to test this antenna —
specifically, the detailed technical information (in Exhibits A—D) that
demonstrates that the operation of the earth station at 89° W.L. during testing
will be compatible with its electromagnetic environment and will not cause
harmful interference into any lawfully operating facility. In the extremely
unlikely event that harmful interference should occur, Intelsat will take all
reasonable steps to eliminate the interference.

For the reasons set forth herein, Intelsat respectfully requests that the
Commission grant this further extension request.

Sincerely,

SusanH. Crandall
Assistant General Counsel
Intelsat Corporation
