                                                         Request for Special Temporary Authority
                                                                                       E930467
                                                                                       Exhibit 1

REQUEST FOR EXTENSION OF SPECIAL TEMPORARY AUTHORITY

RTM Remote Transmission Management (“RTM”), the proposed assignee of
transportable transmit-receive earth station E930467, hereby respectfully requests an extension
of its special temporary authority, pursuant to Section 25.120 of the Commission’s Rules, for a
period of thirty (30) days, or until July 14, 2010, to continue to operate earth station E930467 at
the parameters of the existing license. RTM’s current STA was granted on May 14, 2010 and
expires on June 14, 2010.

The STA extension is necessary because the application for the assignment of the
E930467 license (File No. SES-ASG-20100510-00565) from KVUE Television, Inc. to RTM
remains pending. The Commission issued a Public Notice of acceptance of the assignment
application on May 26, 2010 (Report No. SES-01246). RTM is using the facility for satellite
feeds to cover the ongoing oil spill disaster in the Gulf of Mexico. This facility provides needed
service to the public and the numerous communities affected by this unprecedented incident.

Accordingly, grant of this extension request will serve the public interest by ensuring that
this important programming and coverage can continue to be delivered to the public.
