Re: Request for Further Extension of Special Temporary Authority
                     Ellenwood, Georgia Earth Station E940333

 Dear Ms. Dortch:

~ PanAmSat Licensee Corp. ("PanAmSat") herein requests a 60—day extension —
through March 22, 2010 — of the Special Temporary Authority (“STA”)1
originally granted PanAmSat to use its Ellenwood, Georgia earth station —— call
sign E940333 —— to provide telemetry, tracking and command ("TT&C")
services to the Intelsat 14 satellite while the satellite undergoes in—orbit testing
("IOT") at 47.0° W.L., is drifted to its final location, and operates at its final
 location of 45.0° W.L.* Intelsat 14 currently is located at 45.0° W.L.
PanAmSat has a pending application to modify the license for E940333 to
authorize permanent operations to 45.0° W.L.*

The Intelsat 14 TT&C operations will continue to be performed in the
 following frequency bands:

& 5927.0 MHzand 5932.0 MHz in the uplink, and
3709.0 MHz and 3710.0 MHz primary in the downlink
      * 3704.0 MHz and 3705.0 MHz alternate in the downlink.

The TT&C operations at 45.0° W.L. are compliant with Intelsat‘s coordination
agreements governing operations at that location. '

‘ PanAmSat hasfiled its STA request, an FCC Form 159, a $175.00 filing fee
~ and this supporting letter electronically via the International Bureau‘s Filing
  System ("IBFS").

The 24x7 contact information for the TT&C operations is as follows:

    Hafry Burnham or Mike Munion
    Ph.: (202) 944—7701

In further support of this request, PanAmSat incorporates by reference the
exhibits submitted with its initial STA request, which contain technical
information concerning the TT&C operations during IOT, drift, and on—station
operation, as well as the statements made in the initial request concerning
    power levels.

Grant of this STA extension request will allow PanAmSat to continue to
command the Intelsat 14 satellite at the 45.0° W.L. location until grant of the
permanent modification application. This, in turn, will help ensure continuity
of service to customers at that location, thereby promoting the public interest.

Pleasedirect any questions regardlng this STA request to the undersigned at
    (202) 944—7848.

    Respectfully submitted,
