Washington, D.C. 20554 Re: _ Request for Extension of Special Temporary Authority Ellenwood, Georgia Ku—band Earth Station E090093 Dear Ms. Dortch: Intelsat North America LLC ("Intelsat") herein requests a 60—day extensmn — through December 9, 2009 — of the Special Temporary Authority ("STA")‘ previously granted Intelsat to utilize its new Ellenwood, Georgla Ku—band earth station prior to grant of permanent operating authority." The antenna will continue to communicate in the frequency bands 10950—12200 MHz and 13750—14500 MHz. Intelsat has a pending application for authonty to use this antenna to transmit in these frequencies on a permanent basis." Intelsat will continue to use thls antenna to provide TT&C services to the Intelsat satellite at 45° W.L.* Grant of this STA extension request will enable Intelsat to continue satellite transition operations in accordance with the schedule that has been communicated to customers, thereby serving the public interest. In support of this extension request, Intelsat incorporates by reference its pending application for authority to use this antenna to transmit in these frequencies on a permanent basis."
