SES Americom, Inc. Page 1 of 1 REQUEST FOR SPECIAL TEMPORARY AUTHORITY Earth Station E090134 SES Americom, Inc. hereby requests special temporary authority ("STA") for a period of 60 days to allow the operation of a 9.3m C band constructed at SES Americom‘s own risk. SES Americom recently filed an application for a new license‘. The antenna will communicate with AMC—4 and be used to carry TT&C traffic for AMC—18 and GE—23 and Wide Area Network traffic. Full technical information regarding the proposed conventional C band operations can be found in the underlying license application. SES Americom requests STA for a period of 60 days commencing August 17, 2009 pending grant of the new license application. The requested STA will support TT&C operations for AMC—18 and GE—23 and is therefore in the public interest. \ See FCC File No. SES—LIC—20090803—00948
