                                           Supplemental Information
Harris Corporation ("Harris") hereby submits the following supplemental information to its Special
Temporary Authority Request ("STA") application filed on March 31, 2009 requesting STA to operate a C
Band transmit/receive satellite earth station located in Grand Isle, LA (See FCC File No. SES-STA-20090331-
00392). This STA application was concurrently filed with an FCC Form 312 application requesting permanent
authority to operate a C Band transmit/receive satellite earth station located in Grand Isle, LA (See File No.
SES-LIC-20090331-00387).

Harris has been advised by Commission staff that processing of its STA request cannot move forward
until issues associated with the Form 312 request are resolved. On May 4, 2009 Harris submitted a
Supplemental Information and Request for Waiver document for its pending FCC Form 312 application. Harris
hereby incorporates by reference this Supplemental Information and Request for Waiver submission to its
pending STA request.

Urgent Processing Hereby Requested
Harris hereby respectfully urges the Commission to promptly act on its pending STA request which relates to a
critical FAA contract. Specifically, the existing site at located at Grand Isle, LA has twice been damaged by
Hurricanes, leaving the FAA with a blind spot in their coverage. Harris is changing the Ku Band system out for
a High Wind C-Band system for storm mitigation. Multiple levels of the FAA need to authorize the downtime
required to convert the system. Harris is scheduled to begin conversion of the system beginning the week of
May 11, 2009, and if the STA request is delayed, the project start will require a delay, pushing the proposed
construction into hurricane season on the Gulf Coast of Louisiana, again leaving the FAA with a blind spot in
their coverage during an extremely important period.
