Thrane & Thrane Airtime LTD. IBFS File No. SES—STA—20081202—01522 The request of Thrane & Thrane Airtime LTD. (T&T Airtime) for special temporary authority (STA) IS GRANTED. Accordingly, T&T Airtime is authorized, for a period beginning December 18, 2008 and ending February 15, 2009, to operate, with the modified ownership structure described in its request, up to 5,000 Broadband Global Area Network (BGAN) mobile earth terminals (MET‘s) using the Inmarsat 4F2 @ 52.75°W.L. and the Inmarsat—4F3 @ 97.65°W.L. (beginning January 7, 2009), in accordance with the terms, conditions, and technical specifications set forth in the Commission‘s rules and this document. 1. The 1544—1545/1645.5—1646.5 MHz band is reserved for safety and distress communications. See 47 C.F.R. § 2.106 Footnotes 5.356 and 5.365. 2. Operations on the Inmarsat 4F2 and Inmarsat—4F3 satellites shall be on an unprotected basis. T&T Airtime shall not claim protection from, and is required to accept interference from, other lawfully operating satellites or radiocommunication systems. 3. Any action taken or expense incurred as a result of operations pursuant to this special temporary authority is solely at T&T Airtime‘s own risk.
