Federal Communications Commission Satellite Radio Communications The Portals, 445 Twelfth Street NW Washington DC 20554 Special Temporary Authority (STA) Request Ku—Band Transmit Receive Earth Station Cape Canaveral, Fl ITT Corporation requests a Special Temporary Authority (STA) to allow for operation of Two 3.8 meter ku—band earth station antennas to provide digital voice and data between the Range Operations Center at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station and the Launch Area support ship located off the east coast of Florida in support of Navy operations. Each earth station will transmit and receive the same links, one being a redundant backup to the other. ITT Corporation requests operations to begin from this location on November 27, 2008 for a period of 30 days.
