The need for an expedited STA filing is based on Panasonic working to maintain broadband connectivity on an aircraft currently flying that previously was supported by Connection by Boeing (CbB), who discontinued service. Panasonic proposes to provide a KU Band Channel through IntelSat to these former CbB airline customers and will need this fixed channel by Friday, October 12°" to support and complete development of the airlines‘ communication link.
