(Vizada) hereby submits the following amended and additional information regarding the above—referenced request for Special Temporary Authority (STA). By this filing, Vizada wishes to remove certain frequencies from its STA request. In its STA application, Vizada listed the requested frequencies as 6425—6454, 6454.4—6456.6 MHz (transmit) and 3600—3629, 3629.4—3631.6 MHz (receive). It has now come to our attention that the 6454.4— 6456.6 MHz and 3629.4—3631.6 MHz frequencies are navigational frequencies that will not be utilized by Vizada. As such, the only frequencies we are requesting authorization for are 6425—6454 MHz (transmit) and 3600—3629 MHz (receive). In addition, while the STA request noted that the authorization requested will allow Vizada to offer international as well as domestic service, Vizada wishes to further clarify for the Commission that this will include service to a customer who will be supplying receive—only mobile earth terminals to operators of oil platforms and oil exploration vessels located in international waters. The Santa Paula earth station will provide a feeder link for the customer to provide GPS correctional data to the mobile earth terminals. This correctional data is critical to the operations of the oil platforms and oil exploration vessels, and supports the safety of the platforms and vessels.
