VIZADA SATELLITE, INC. REQUEST FOR SPECIAL TEMPORARY AUTHORITY CALL SIGN KA313 Vizada Satellite, Inc. (VSI), formerly Telenor Satellite, Inc., hereby requests special temporary authority to add Intelsat 705 as a point of communication for Ku—band ESV operation via its Southbury, CT earth station KA313, and to operate with that satellite in the extended Ku— band (10950—11200 MHz and 11450—12200 MHz). VSI is already licensed to provide Ku—band ESV services via KA313, but only with two satellites, NSS—7 and Galaxy 10—R, and only in the conventional Ku—band. See File No. SES—MOD—20070314—00351, granted July 26, 2007. However, VSI has been licensed to provide ESV services in the extended Ku—band using another hub antenna and satellite. See File No. SES—MOD—20070314—00352, granted Aug. 27, 2007. On September 25, 2007, VSI filed an application to modify its license for KA313 to add Intelsat 705 as a point of communication and also to obtain ALSAT authority for Ku—band ESV operation in the standard Ku—band. See File No. SES—MOD—20070925—01318. All operations under this STA will be consistent with that application. Grant of this STA is in the public interest because it will allow VSI to meet increasing demand for Ku—band ESV services. VISI seeks special temporary authority for a period not to exceed 60 days. Accordingly, public notice of this request is not required.
