Before the FEDERAL COMMUNICATIONS COMMISSION Washington, D.C. 20554 In the matter of ) ) Thrane & Thrane Airtime Ltd. ) File No. SES—STA—20070619—00830 (Call Sign E060179) RESPONSE OF INMARSAT VENTURES LIMITED Inmarsat Ventures Limited ("Inmarsat") responds to Comments filed by Mobile Satellite Ventures Subsidiary ("MSV") in this proceeding, in which Thrane & Thrane Airtime Ltd. ("T&T Airtime") seeks renewal of special temporary authority ("STA") to continue providing Inmarsat Broadband Global Area Network (BGAN) service. In its Comments, MSV raises nothing new, but rather repeats its requests that the Commission: (i) establish a firm expiration date for BGAN STAs; (ii) limit BGAN terminal use to only a subset of emergency responders; and (iii) adopt conditions sought in MSV‘s June 12, 2006 Petition for Clarification. Inmarsat has fully responded to each of MSV‘s requests in prior pleadings, and incorporate those prior pleadings by reference.‘ Those pleadings, and pleadings submitted in other, similar proceedings, demonstrate that the public interest would be served by ensuring that BGAN services continue to be available to meet the current and future needs of U.S. government See, e.g., Joint Opposition, File Nos.
