This Special Temporary Authorization is requested in support of a demonstration of Aeronautical Mobile Satellite System (AMSS) operations for the U.S. Army. The AMSS equipment is being evaluated by the Army and may be used to provide communications support for ongoing Army operations. This request will serve the public interest in that AMSS 13. 12. Description This Special Temporary Authorization is requested in support of a demonstration of Aeronautical Mobile Satellite System (AMSS) operations for the U.S. Army. The AMSS equipment is being evaluated by the Army and may be used to provide communications support for ongoing Army operations. This request will serve the public interest in that AMSS will ultimately provide the Army with advanced communications in support of Army Operations and Warfighting Improvement initiatives. 5
