Transmit/Receive Earth Station E960019 (SES—STA—20070116—00115) Notification of Termination of STA Operations Dear Ms. Dortch: Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation ("Steamboat"), by counsel, hereby notifies the Commission that it intends to terminate operations of the above—referenced satellite earth station currently authorized pursuant to Special Temporary Authority ("STA") effective March 1, 2007. Steamboat obtained STA on January 17, 2007 to operate the earth station pending FCC approval of an application to relicense this facility (Application File No. SES—LIC—20070126—00139) ("License Application"). The License Application appeared on Public Notice on January 31, 2007. As reported to the Commission, Steamboat is a wholly—owned subsidiary of American Skiing Co., which entered into a Purchase Agreement on December 18, 2006 for the transfer of all of the issued and outstanding shares of Steamboat to Steamboat Acquisition Corp. Upon consummation, Steamboat will file an amendment to the License Application to notify the Commission of the change of control of Steamboat. Steamboat no longer requires STA, and therefore requests cancellation of the STA authorization effective March 1, 2007 upon consummation of the Purchase Agreement.
