MassacHusetTs stare rorics 1B2006003123; New Ku—Band VSAT Network Request for Special Temporary Authority to Operate NARRATIVE STATEMENT The Massachusetts State Police (°MSP"), applicant for a new Ku—Band VSAT Network (SubmissionID 1B2006003 123), located in Framingham, Massachusets, hereby requests a Special Temporary Authority (‘STA") in connection with the above—referenced application. MSP willuse the Ku—band VSAT network to support MSP‘s Hfomeland security services and public safety activites generally. MSP request STA to begin testing the system during installation.. It is anticipated that testing would commence on orabout December 11, 2006. This system is considered a eritical communications system for MSP. Accordingly,there is a great public interestin providing access to communications to the MSP which will be fulfiled by grant of STA. A copy ofa letter from MSP s attached to this STA appliation in support of the STA.
