Sirius Satellite Radio Inc. has filed to license two Ku−band earth stations in New York City, New York. In order to perform testing on the two earth stations, and to operate with the Sirius terrestrial network prior to the granting of the license, the applicant requests a Special Temporary Authority. The granting of the STA will permit Sirius 13. 12. Description Sirius Satellite Radio Inc. has filed to license two Ku−band earth stations in New York City, New York. In order to perform testing on the two earth stations, and to operate with the Sirius terrestrial network prior to the granting of the license, the applicant requests a Special Temporary Authority. The granting of the STA will permit Sirius Satellite Radio to meet operational obligations. 5
