Exhibit A Page 1 of 1 Special Temporary Authority (STA) Application Public Interest Statement This application seeks FCC consent to operate a transportable Ku-band earth station while the application for assignment of license is being processed. The Unique Shopping Network has already advised the public through advertising, e-mails and other communications that they would be providing them with unique opportunities beginning Monday the 25th of September. In order to be operational by Monday the 25th, it is critical that the Applicant test on Friday, September 22nd. To not be able to test would impact the Applicant’s ability to meet operational obligations. One of the Applicant’s consultants has upwards of 20,000 previous viewers that have been informed through his website and e-mails that the Unique Shopping Network would be coming to them live with their new show. If the network cannot meet the above noted date, the public interest would be adversely affected and the Applicant could lose viewers, and public credibility, which could also create a severe financial hardship on the Applicant.
