Re: Call Sign E000723; File No SES—STA—20060202—00198

  Dear Ms. Dortch:

         Pursuant to Section 1.65 of the Commission‘s rules, 47 C.F.R. § 1.65, the undersigned,
on behalf of The Boeing Company ("Boeing"), hereby updates the record of the above— _
referenced application ("STA Extension Application") proceeding to provide additional
  information.

In the STA Extension Application, Boeing indicated that if an adverse determination on
the application could not be made by 12:00 pm on Friday, February 3, 2006, then it would not be
possible to alter the Connexion by Bocing" system parameters without substantial service
disruption until Boeing‘s next scheduled software update on March 12, 2006. After the STA
Extension Application was filed this morning, Boeing was able to implement a one—time change
to its control software update process that makes available two additional business days to
commence implementation of the changes necessary for a system power reduction. Thus, the
last point at which Boeing can commence such changes is 12:00 pm EST, Tuesday, February 7,
2006, rather than tomorrow, February 3, 2006, as indicated in the STA Extension Application.

Please feel free to contact the undersigned with any questions regarding this submission.

                                                           Sincerely,

                                                                        4/Gote
