Statement in Support ofApplication for Special Temporary Authority Pursuant to Section 25.120 of the rules, Applicant LibCo, Inc. ("LiBCo®)and transferee Raycom Media,Ic ("Raycom‘) respectfully request Special Temporary Authority ("STA")to continue to operate a Domestic Satellite Temporary Fixed (Transportable) Earth Station 2050315 following the closing on a mult—station transfer ofcontrol transaction and during the pendeney ofits Form 312 application fortransferof control authority (File No. SES—TC— 20051220—01773). (The iitil authorization for EOS0315 was issued December 5, 2005, so that station was not included in the transfer of control application file September 15, 2005 (SES— T/C—20050915—01262, which covered other earth stations that are part of thtransaction.) There are no changes in the operating parameters LibCo is the eenses of station WALB—TV, Albany, Georgia, which uses the earth station to provide ive news feeds, including weather and emergency information ofimportance to its viewers. Granting the STA for LibCo to continue to use the earth station with WALB—TV under new ownership would allow the station to continue to bring this valuable programming to ts viewers without interruption. The referenced application is part oa multi—station transaction to ransfer control of LibCo, to Raycom (File Nos. BTCCT—20050909ADC, et al, o which the Media Burcau has given ts consent. Based on the Media Bureau consent (and consents ofthe International Bureau and Wireless Bureau to transfer control of all ofthe other authorizations involved), the parties plan to close on the transaction on January 31, 2006. pcumeea
