NBC Telemundo License Co. Special Temporary Authority Application FCC Form 312 January 2006 EXHIBIT NBC Telemundo License Co. ("NBC"), licensee of commercial television station, WCAU(TV), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, hereby requests Special Temporary Authority ("STA") to operate a digital satellite truck. The equipment will be used in association with WCAU‘s news and weather operations. An application for permanent authority (SES—LIC—20060110—00026) was filed on January 9, 2006. Approval of this STA request is warranted since the equipment will provide substantial public interest benefits by providing crucial enhancements to news reporting. Used to facilitate news and weather reporting operations, equipment will allow on—the—spot coverage of a variety of breaking news situations including, but not limited to, developing traffic and weather events, which could potentially impact public safety and convenience.
