| 12. Description.
IWl Communications requests a Special Temporary Authority to permit earth station operations on the East Breaks 643 (Boomvang) oil platform to provide digital voice and data services to oil platform personnel. The original microwave system was damaged by Hurricane Rita, and the earth station will be a portion of the restored system. A STA is requested to allow IWL Communications to bring the earth station on-line as a portion of the restored communication system. This system will be only means of communication at the platform.
