(“MTN”) requests special temporary authority for 30 days to operate one temporary fixed Ku-band 1.0 meter earth station. The authority requested herein will permit communications in areas affected by Hurricane Katrina. The technical and operational specifications for the earth station requested herein follows: Area of Operation: Areas Affected by Hurricane Katrina Compliance with two- degree spacing policy: Antenna is compliant with the requirements of §25.209 starting at 1.5° from boresight (See attached spreadsheet). In order to operate at maximum power allowed under §25.212 (c), antenna will maintain 0.3° or better pointing accuracy towards the specific points of communication named in this application.
