12. Description. Globalstar USA, LLC is applying for authority to allow the Globalstar gateway earth stations to track satellites down to a minimum of 5 degrees elevation (instead of the current minimum 10 degrees). Lowering the minimum permissible elevation angle will allow these four tracking antennas at the Clifton, Texas, gateway station to increase the amount of time when multiple satellites are simultaneously linked to the gateway, particularly during periods of satellite anomalies or outages. The increase in tracking time will enhance Globalstar service quality in the central United States.
