("XM Radio") hereby withdraws its request for Special Temporary Authority filed on July 23, 2002 and assigned file number SES—STA—20020723—01157. XM Radio filed this request to operate Satellite Digital Audio Radio Service ("SDARS") terrestrial repeaters in Little Rock, Arkansas and Tulsa, Oklahoma. The STA request included a filing fee applicable to a request for an STA to operate a satellite earth station. Subsequent to filing of this STA request, Commission staff informed XM Radio that the appropriate filing fee for an STA to operate an SDARS terrestrial repeater is the fee applicable to an STA request for a space station. XM Radio subsequently refiled its STA request to operate SDARS terrestrial repeaters in Tulsa and Little Rock with the filing fee appropriate for a space station STA. This STA was granted on September 30, 2002. See File No. SAT—STA—20020815—00153. As a result, the above— captioned STA request filed as an earth station STA request is moot and XM Radio requests that it be withdrawn. Please contact the undersigned with any questions.
