Box 358160 Pittsburgh, PA 15251-5160 To whom it may concern: Coastal Satellite, Inc. is requesting Special Temporary Authority to operate a recently purchased used transportable Ku Band uplink for transmitting news and event coverage primarily in the western US. This purchase was completed on 2/8/01 from KVEA TV (Estrella Communications), a local television station. We are requesting the STA due to an overwhelming demand for our services for the Hollywood awards season including the Grammys (February 20-21,2001) and The Academy Awards (March 20-23 testing & March 25,2001). Without the STA our license would not be granted in time to provide network television coverage of these and other events. Thank you for your consideration with this matter.
