                                        Attachment 1

                                 Petition for Reinstatement

NBC Telemundo License Co. (“NBC”) hereby files this Petition for Reinstatement
pursuant to 47 CFR § 25.163(a) for Earth Station E000129 (the “Station”) in accordance with
the technical parameters of File Number: SES-LIC-20000313-00407. The expiration date of
the license is May 3, 2010. Due to an administrative oversight, the renewal application was
not timely filed with the Commission; however, the renewal application is being filed within
two days of the expiration date and well within the 30 days allowed for reinstatement
petitions under 47 CFR § 25.163(a)(1).

The station, located in South Hackensack, New Jersey, is the primary path for NBC’s
satellite feed from 30 Rockefeller Plaza (the company’s headquarters) to its News Channel
and, as such, is a vital link for the network. It has consistently been operated pursuant to
Commission Rules and Regulations.

NBC regrets the inadvertent administrative error that caused this delay in filing and
provides the information required by 47 CFR §§25.63(a)(2) and (3). Specifically, the expiration
date was mistyped on an internal docketing system. When it came to the company’s
attention, action was taken immediately to rectify the error, including filing the required
renewal application, this Petition and the STA within two days of the expiration date. Further,
NBC is reviewing the internal docket for accuracy to ensure that future deadlines are
correctly entered.

In light of the considerations above, we believe the public interest would be served by
grant of this Petition for Reinstatement and the renewal of the license for E000129.
