For the reported earth stations below 6.1 meters overall height above ground level- FAA notification is not required pursuant to 47 C.F.R. § 17.7(e)(3), because the antenna is less than 6.1 meters in height above ground level. For the reported earth stations greater than 6.1 meters overall height above ground level- FAA notification is not required pursuant to the provisions of 47 C.F.R. § 17.7(e)(1). (1) Any object that will be shielded by existing structures of a permanent and substantial nature or by natural terrain or topographic features of equal or greater height, and will be located in the congested area of a city, town, or settlement where the shielded structure will not adversely affect safety in air navigation;
