In 2011, the President of CMS Internet LLC, Jeremy Sheets plead guilty in a plea deal offering to a wire fraud conviction related to funds we received from the Universal Service Fund. The mistake he made was giving donations to the schools to cover their non-funded portions of their internet service, not knowing at the time that was not allowed under the program rules. He paid his debt to society by serving his time and paid his fines in full. He was released from probation in 2012, and our USF status was re-instated shortly after.
