July 9, 2012 Systems Analyst Branch Satellite Division, International Bureau Federal Communications Commission 445 12th Street SW Washington, DC 20554 Re: Application for Modification of Fixed Earth Station License Pursuant to Section 25.117 of the Rules and Regulations (“Regulations”) of the Federal Communications Commission (“Commission”), Harris Corporation (“Harris”), by way of the underlying application, seeks Commission authority to modify callsign E080151, file number SES-MFS-20111129-01385. Harris wishes to add a T14 (63W) as a Point of Communication and to operate in the 13800MHz to 14000MHz extended Ku band. An exhibit has been prepared in compliance with Report and Order FCC96-377. There are two requested emissions: 5M70G7W and 36M0G7W operating at 58.6 dBW and 66.6 dBW EIRP respectively. In both cases, the power flux density falls below the -167 dBW/4KHz/m2 specified in FC96-377. Furthermore, because the carriers at issue operate below the 68 dBW required EIRP,1 a waiver request has been submitted with the underlying application. 1 47 CFR §25.204(f)
