SES has filed a replacement satellite application with respect to AMC−4 at this orbital location, which is to be replaced with SES−1 in May 2010. See IBFS 10

43. Description. (Summarize the nature of the application and the services to be provided). Row 44 seeks to substitute SES Americom (’SES’) satellite SES−1 as a point of communication at 101 W.L., where Row 44 is currently authorized for transmit/receive operations using AMC−2. SES has filed a replacement satellite application with respect to AMC−4 at this orbital location, which is to be replaced with SES−1 in May 2010. See IBFS File Nos. SAT−RPL−20100120−00014 and SAT−AMD− 20100309−00040; Call Sign S2807. Following launch of SES−1, Row 44 traffic on AMC−2 (at 100.95 W. L.) will be transitioned to the new satellite. Row 44 requests that this modfication be made effective contemporaneously with the activation of the SES−1 capacity. Operations using Ku−band capacity on SES−1 will be identical to existing operations, and are therefore consistent with and subject to the coordination letters previously submitted with respect to this orbital location dated June 6, 2008, January 6, 2009 and October 19, 2009. No other changes are proposed. Post modification, Row 44 will operate using three satellites as points of communication −− AMC−9 at 83 W.L.; SES−1 at 101 W.L.; and Horizons 1 at 127 W.L. 22
