43. Description. (Summarize the nature of the application and the services to be provided). Nextel Communications of the Mid−Atlantic, Inc. has licensed a domestic Ku−band VSAT Network consisting of a hub antenna and 5 transportable remote antennas. The remote earth stations will be deployed to operate on a short term basis in areas where disasters have destroyed or impaired traditional forms of wireless communications, at major events/attractions, and a special events requiring enhanced security. The modification will add a second hub antenna at the Livermore site and add 25 new remote antennas to the network. All of the earth stations will continue to provide digital voice, fax and data services. 27
