Dortch Secretary Federal Communications Commission The Portals 445 Twelfth Street, NW Washington, DC 20554 Re: Stratos Offshore Services Company, File No. SES—MOD—INTR2005—02166 Modification to £980235 to add a 3.8m Hub Dear Ms. Dortch: On September 21, 2005, Stratos Offshore Services Company ("Stratos") filed the above— referenced modification application to add a 3.8m Hub station to its licensed VSAT network (E980235). In order to satisfy the Commission‘s input power density limit of —14 dBW/4 kHz, the staff ofthe International Bureau has advised Stratos that the power to the proposed 3.8m hub needs to be reduced by 0.6 dBWfor the emissions set forth in the application that have a maximum EIRP density of 39.80 dBW. By this letter, Stratos supplements its modification application and agrees to reduce by 0.6 dBWthe EIRP density and EIRP for these emissions in order to satisfy the Commission‘s Rules.
