Re: Application for Modification of Fixed Earth Station License

Pursuant to Section 25.117 of the Rules and Regulations (“Regulations”) of the Federal
Communications Commission (“Commission”), Harris Corporation (“Harris”), by way of
the underlying application, seeks Commission authority to modify callsign E080151, file
number SES-LIC-20080627-00856.

Harris wishes to modify an existing Vertex 7.2m C-band antenna. The modification
consists of swapping the feed by a Ku-band feed. As such, the existing structure and dish
will remain in place. Only the feed will be changed. The new emission designators and
power parameters are shown in the license application. A new radiation hazard study has
also been generated. Please note that the antenna diameter is currently incorrectly shown
as 7.3m rather than a 7.2m.

Pursuant to Section 25.212(c) of the Regulations, in the 14.0–14.5 GHz band, an earth
station with an antenna of 1.2m or greater may be routinely licensed for transmission of
narrowband and/or wideband digital services if the spectral power density into the
antenna does not exceed –14 dBW/4KHz. The current application will operate with an
eirp power density of -30.08 dBW/4KHz which is 16.08 dB lower than the Commission
prescribed limit. Therefore, Harris requests that this application receive routine
treatment.

All C-band references in the license are no longer applicable. Therefore, please

delete Site ID: MLB HUB2, and Antenna ID: 1HUB2.

The new Side ID and Antenna ID are shown in the license application.
