Notification of Pro Forma Change in Ownership of Non—U.S.
                         Licensed Space Station
Call Sign E080107, File No. SES—MEFS—20090306—00253

Dear Ms. Dortch:

The Commission previously modified the license for the above—referenced earth station
by adding Nimiq 5, a Canadian—licensed satellite, as a point of communication. By virtue of this
grant, Nimiq 5 has U.S. market access. EchoStar Broadcasting Holding Corporation ("EBHC")
is the licensee of the above—referenced earth station.

Telesat Canada ("Telesat"), which had been the owner of Nimiq 5, has informed EBHC
of a change in the satellite‘s ownership. Telesat has advised EBHC that this change is entirely
proforma.‘ Accordingly, and pursuant to Section 25.137(g) of the Commission‘s rules," EBHC
hereby notifies the Commission that Nimigq 5 is now owned by Telesat Spectrum General
Partnership ("TSGP") rather than Telesat.

Please direct any questions concerning this matter to the undersigned.

                                                       Alison Minea

                                                       Un Miu
                                                       EchoStar Broadcasting Holding Corporation

‘ As Telesat has notified the Commission separately in connection with a corresponding change in the
ownership of Anik FIR, Anik F2, and Anik F3, and as Telesat has advised EBHC, this change is entirely
pro forma since: (1) Telesat owns 99.999% of the units of TSGP, a general partnership formed under the
laws of Ontario, Canada; and (2) Telesat indirectly owns the remaining units of TGSP through its 100%
ownership of Telesat 2016 ULC, a Canadian company formed under the laws of Alberta, which owns the
remaining units.
247 C.FR. § 25.137(g).
