E990019 SES—MFS—20080506—00540 Dear Ms. Dortch: On behalf of American Samoa License, Inc. ("ASLI"), licensee of fixed earth station E990019 and applicant to modify E990019 to add a new antenna to communicate with the JCSAT—2A satellite at 154° E.L. in the conventional C—band (File No. SES—MFS—20080506— 00540), we hereby provide an update on ASLI‘s efforts to provide the information concerning JCSAT—2A requested in the May 22, 2008, letter of Scott A. Kotler, Chief, Systems Analysis Branch. On June 20, 2008, this office provided by e—mail to Mr. Kotler ".gxt" files with technical information required by Schedule S concerning (1) interference analysis; (2) cross— polarization information and; (3) description of types of services to be provided. Ron Whitworth of this office also conferred with Kal Krautkramer of the FCC‘s International Bureau regarding the information provided in ASLI‘s response. Mr. Whitworth also submitted PDF versions of the required coverage contour maps. Mr. Krautkramer indicated that the maps needed to be provided in the latest version of GIMS software. ASLI has been working with consultants at Comsearch to accomplish this; however, they were unable to convert the files to the appropriate format. ASLI is currently attempting to contact other satellite consultants to assist with providing the requested information as an amendment to ASLI‘s application in Schedule S. ASLI will provide a further update once it has engaged a consultant able to satisfy the Commission‘s request.
