Dear Ms. Manner: On August 7, 2017, HNS Licensee Sub LLC filed the above captioned applications to operate 20 new gateway earth stations that will communicate with the HNS 95W satellite system.’ To assist in the Satellite Division’s processing of these applications, please provide the information requested below.2 1. For each application, IBFS File numbers SES-LIC-20170807-00876 through SES-LIC 20170807-00895, provide the following information to supplement HNS’s Section 25.136 analysis:3 A separate table for each concerned frequency band containing a list of the U.S. census block ID numbers within each county that are covered entirely or partially by the PFD contour for the 27.5-28.35 GHz band, and by the protection zone for the 47.2-48.2 GHz band. For each census block ID within these tables provide: 1) the total population of the census block; 2) the percentage of the census block area that the PFD contour or protection zone covers; and 3) the total calculated population of the census block that is affected. Using this information, estimate the total population per county that is covered by the PFD contour or protection zone and verify whether the requirements of 47 CFR § 25.136 are met. 2. For each application: LBFS File numbers SES-LIC-20170807-00877, SES-LIC-20 170807-00879, SES-LIC-20 170807-00880, SES-LIC-20 170807-00883, SES-LIC-20 170807-00889, SES-LIC-20 170807-00890, SES-LIC-20 170807-00893, SES-LIC-20 170807-00894, and SES-LIC-20 170807-00895: For the frequency band 27.85-28.35 GHz, the tables described in number 1 above have to be provided only if the aggregate pfd contour associated with the previously authorized earth station and the new earth station is not entirely contained within the corresponding contour associated with the previously authorized earth station. be presented, the population calculations described in number 1 above are limited to areas outside the contour associated with the previously authorized earth station. The requested information must be submitted no later than May 1, 2019. Failure to do so may result in the dismissal of HNS’s applications pursuant to Section 25.112(c) of the Commission’s rules, 47 CFR § 25.112(c). Sincerely, 9~ P.
