Dear Mr. Jimenez:

On February 4, 2013, Univision Network Limited Partnership, (Univision) filed the
above-captioned application for a fixed earth station license in Chicago, IL. For the
reasons stated below, we dismiss the application as defective without prejudice to re-
filing.1

Section 25.112(a) of the Commission’s rules, 47 C.F.R. § 25.112(a), requires the
Commission to return as unacceptable for filing any earth station application that is not
substantially complete, contains internal inconsistencies, or does not substantially comply
with the Commission’s rules. For the reasons stated below, Univision’s application is
inconsistent, incomplete or otherwise does not substantially comply with the
Commission’s rules.

    ·    Univision did not provide a response to item E21 of Schedule B, which requires
         applicants to list the proposed points of communication. See 47 C.F.R. § 25.130
         (a)(1).
    ·    Univision Network did not provide a frequency coordination report as required by
         item E18 of Schedule B and Section 25.130 (b) of the Commission’s rules, 47
         C.F.R. § 25. 130 (b).
    ·    The U.S. allocation table does not have allocations for Fixed Satellite Service
         (space-to-Earth) transmissions throughout the 4020-6245 MHz frequency band.
         See 47 C.F.R. § 2.106.
    ·    Univision Network did not request waiver of the U.S. allocation table as required
         by Section 25.130(a)(5) of the Commission’s rules, 47 C.F.R. § 25.130(a)(5).

exception of the corrected information, it need not pay an additional application fee. See 47 C.F.R. §

Accordingly, pursuant to Section 25.112(a)(1) of the Commission’s rules, 47 C.F.R.
§25.112(a)(1), and Section 0.261of the Commission’s rules, 47 C.F.R. §0.261, we
dismiss the application without prejudice to re-filing.
