Response to Question 42 Foreign-Licensed Satellites EchoStar Broadcasting Corporation is seeking authority to operate a new Direct Broadcast Satellite (“DBS”) feeder link earth station with one foreign-licensed DBS satellite. The provision of service from that satellite, Ciel 2 (Canada), has already been authorized by the Commission. Ciel 2 at 129° W.L. Please see File No. SES-MFS-20080926-01242 for the information specified in 47 C.F.R. § 25.137 for Ciel 2 at 129° W.L.1 The Commission has previously granted blanket earth station and DBS feeder link authorizations for the provision of DBS service into the United States from Canadian-licensed Ciel 2 at 129° W.L. 1 See File No. SES-MFS-20080926-01242 (granted Jan. 30, 2009); Public Notice, Report No. SES No. 01110 (rel.
