                           PUBLIC INTEREST STATEMENT

Applicant AYM Sports, LLC seeks authority to operate a 2.4m temporary fixed C-
band earth station. The earth station will be mounted on a transportable trailer and used in
various locations in Puerto Rico for SNG purposes to deliver a wide range of video content
for retransmission to television viewers in Puerto Rico and elsewhere.

The Commission has previously authorized operation of the 2.4m C-band earth station
in question (the Channel Master Model 243) at higher power spectral density levels to
communicate with ALSAT satellites, and the operational characteristics of the earth station
proposed herein are consistent with such prior authority and fully compliant with the
Commission’s two-degree spacing policies. (See attached Non-Routine Antenna Information
and Coordination Statement.) In addition, the applicant acknowledges and accepts its
coordination obligations under 47 CFR §25.277, and will ensure that its intermittent transmit
operations will not cause interference into co-primary terrestrial links in the 5925-6425 MHz
band. (See id.) Finally, the applicant will operate the earth station consistent with the
Commission’s RF exposure limits to ensure that the general public and earth station operators
are not exposed to excessive levels of RF radiation. (See attached Radiation Hazard Study.)

Given that the proposed earth station operations will support important video
distribution services in Puerto Rico and elsewhere, and that the operations are otherwise
consistent with applicable Commission policies and past licensing precedent, grant of this
application would serve the public interest. For these same reasons, AYM Sports respectfully
requests that the Commission grant the application at the earliest possible time.
